Join us and a panel of preeminent freelancers Lynette Wardle, Erin Hill, and Riza Printup as we discuss harp transportation, repertoire, booking, and all you need to know to kickstart or improve your freelance career in NYC. Jazz harpist Riza Printup has performed and/or been featured on stages including Rose Theatre, Dizzy’s Club and the Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, Disney Hall, the Abyssinian Baptist Church and Avery Fisher Hall (now David Geffen Hall) at Lincoln Center with the likes of Paquito D’Rivera, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Yo-Yo Ma, Toshi Reagon, Lady Gaga, Nathaniel Rateliff, DJ D-Nice, Ray Chew and Kathleen Battle. Riza can be found on numerous album recordings, but holds “Gentle Rain” close to her heart, a duo album released in 2020 made with husband and Jazz veteran trumpeter Marcus Printup.

Harpist & Singer Erin Hill has played and sung with Cyndi Lauper, Enya, Kanye, Sinead O’Connor, moby, Jewel, Randy Newman, for Presidents, First Ladies & royalty.  She’s had a #1 album on the Billboard world chart and has played solo at The Royal Albert Hall.  She’s The Pretty White Girl from Comedy Central’s Chappelle’s Show & she wrote the music for the sketch.  Her original songs on electric harp & vox are often sci-fi themed.  She's also known for her innovative harp & vox covers. Her “Eleanor Rigby" has been on SiriusXM The Beatles Channel & its music video has won awards in over 50 film festivals around the world.


Lynette Wardle is an orchestra harpist, chamber musician,

recording artist, and soloist. She has been recognized for her

“refined tone production and spot-on rhythmic sense.” In

addition to being the principal harpist of both the Richmond

Symphony and the Albany Symphony, she performs regularly

with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and the New York

City Ballet.

Lynette is in the orchestra for the new Broadway musical The

Notebook. She has held several Broadway orchestra chairs

including the revival of Camelot at Lincoln Center Theatre. She

was also the harpist for the national tour of the Tony award-

winning musical Light in the Piazza, and played for the City

Center production of this same show at Encores!. For the holiday

seasons, she has been in the orchestra for A Christmas Story,

the Musical, and the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Lynette

in an integral part of Sax-O-Philm, Sounds & Sights of the 20’s,

a multi-media concert production by virtuoso saxophone player
